We met in 2017 on our first day of graduate school at California State University, Long Beach. We quickly became friends and stayed in touch as we both graduated and went on to work for an agency program supporting unaccompanied children. We left that job, to develop our clinical skills in community mental health providing therapy to underserved populations. As we obtained our license in clinical social work, we both knew we a wanted to return to our work with immigrants. After obtaining further training in immigration mental health evaluations, we came together to establish Haven Psychological Evaluations. We're excited about working with you!
Our work consists of writing comprehensive mental health assessments to aid in your application for Asylum, U-Visa, VAWA, and/or Extreme Hardship. We maintain contact with your immigration attorney to support in the completion of the assessment. While we do not provide therapy, we refer our clients to affordable mental health services as needed.
Being daughters of immigrants, we have observed the struggles and resiliency of individuals coming to the United States in search of a better life. We admire and hold true to values of hard-work, growth, independence, families, compassion, and giving-back to our community.
